The UFC Hall of fame recognizes athletes who have fought in the UFC, Pride Fighting Championship, World Cage Fighting Championship (WEC) and Strikeforce.
2015 Saw the birth of a new format w/ the Hall of Fame, one that would include 4 wings of the hall as well as a formal Ceremony held each year in July to coincide w/ a large Pay Per View event on the same weekend. Originally the hall was including only “Pioneers” in, while in 2015 they broke in down into four categories…
The Pioneer Wing - Fighters who turned professional before the unified rules were introduced at UFC 28.
The Modern Era Wing - Fighters who turned professional after the unified rules were introduced at UFC 28
The Contributors Wing - Non Athletes who made significant contributions to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts
The Fight Wing - This wing honors battles in that have become legendary.

There is Currently 3 Men who are “Double Inductees” meaning they are in the hall of fame twice. Those men are
Forrest Griffin - He was inaugurated twice in the same year. In 2013 he was inducted into the Modern Era wing for his accomplishments in the sport as well as the Fight wing for his game changing fight w/ Stephan Bonner at the Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale.
