UFC WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION
Usman is on a complete tear in the UFC as he’s undefeated. He’s steamrolled top contenders Jorge Masvidal, Gilbert Burns, Tyrone Woodley and more. The man has not lost since 2013 which makes him on an 8 year winning streak. He has defeated Colby Covington already however the two remain rivals and Colby has found himself back in a spot to challenge the champion for his title.

Many people dismiss Covington as just a trash talker and forget he’s a spectacular mixed martial artist. He challenged Usman once and came up short. He followed that up w/ a finish of Tyrone Woodley a feat that Usman was unable to do. Covington has only lost 2 bouts in his career and holds wins over top stars like Robbie Lawler, Rafeal Dos Anjos and Damien Maia. He’s been the interim champion before and looks to add the undisputed welterweight championship to his resume when he rematches Usman at UFC 268.

Since then Covington finished Tyrone Woodley while Usman has Knocked out Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal in succession. Now the two meet again to settle the score.
