JAN BLACHOWICZ DEFEATS ISREAL ADESANYA BY UD IN A CHAMPION VS CHAMPION BOUT TO RETAIN HIS LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.
The main event featured Middleweight Champion and undefeated Isreal Adesanya moving up a weight class to attempt to become a double champion, however current Light Heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz used his wrestling in rounds 4 and 5 to earn a Unanimous decision and retain his title in his first defense.
In the co main event Amanda Nunes showed why she’s the Woman’s goat by breezing though #1 Contender Megan Anderson winning w/ a Triangle Choke.
Petr Yan lost his Bantamweight title by DQ when he hit Aljamain Sterling w/ an illegal knee in the 4th round. The end was filled with controversy as many aren’t sure a DQ should mean a new champion but it was dubbed intentional.
Elsewhere on the card the opening contest of the pay per view was a very non eventful bout w/ Rakic outpointing Santos, who has now dropped three in a row. Islam Mahhechev added another submission to his current dominant streak in the light weight division.
Dominick Cruz got back in the win column w/ a split decision over Casey Kenney. Also Askar Askarov established himself as a title challenger w/ a dominant decision over former 3 time title challenger Joseph Benevidez.
