In this section we present some bouts between current UFC and current Bellator fighters including all the champion vs champion bouts that would occur based on the current champions and rankings. We’ll analyze the bouts and potentially come up w/ a poll to see who you think would win these dream bouts.
HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
FRANCIS NGANNOU (21-3)
Current UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is on a absolute tear. Most recently he Knocked out Stipe Miocic in under 6 minutes to earn the Heavyweight championship. Prior to that he had spent roughly 3 minutes in the octagon finishing Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Curtis Blaydes and Former Champions Cain Valezquez and Junior Dos Santos. All in all he’s Finished 3 former champions and 2 top five contenders in under 9 minutes. His current run could possibly be the most dominant run in heavyweight history and he shows zero signs of slowing down. Where he once was impatient and sloppy, he’s now refined, accurate and patient in his approach w/ much improved takedown defense.
Ryan Bader (26-6-1)
Current Bellator Heavyweight champion Ryan Bader has seen a career resurgence since signing w/ Bellator. He’s been ruling two divisions (light heavyweight as well) since joining and even holding both belts at the same time. His heavyweight resume since joining includes wins over former UFC contender Matt Mitrione, Strikeforce standout Muhammad Lawal and he finished the MMA Legend Fedor Emelienenko in 35 seconds. There’s no question that Ryan is at the height of his career and fighting at his natural weight, that being heavyweight.
in our opinion this bout would go much like the last 5 Francis Ngannou bouts have gone. I’ve watched both fighters last few fights and see no evidence to show that Bader wouldn’t be put out early. He could try to use his strong wrestling base, however w/ Francis now having impressive defense it would become desperation shots and honestly I think he’s simply to big and to powerful.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Francis Ngannou By KO in 1 Minute of Round 1.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT:
VADIM NEMKOV (14-2)
BELLATOR LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Nemkov has an extremely impressive resume w/ wins over Liam McGreary, Rafeal Carvalho and Current Heavyweight champion Ryan Bader. Those bouts were all finishes. To throw icing on the cake he has 2 wins over former UFC star Phil Davis.
Though we feel this would be an extremely competitive bout, we look at the power advantage for the polish super star from the UFC. Nemkov would give up a strength and size advantage which is what we feel would be the difference.
OFFICIAL PREDICITION: Jan Blachowicz By TKO in Rd. 3
JAN BLACHOWICZ (28-8)
UFC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Jan is on an extreme hot streak recently w/ wins over Corey Anderson, Jacare Souza, Luke Rockhold and to win the title against Dominick Reyes. Most recently he defeated previously undefeated Israel Adasanya by way of Unanimous Decision.
MIDDLEWEIGHT:
GEGARD MOUSASI (47-7-2)
BELLATOR MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION
Mousasi is one of the most underrated fighter in the Sport. With wins over top names like Thiago Santos, Rory MacDonald, Douglas Lima, Lyoto Machida, Chris Weidman and more. Hes a two time Bellator Middleweight champion and former Strikeforce champion.
Israel’s biggest flaw currently is fighting off his back, however I don’t think gegard would put him there as the UFC champ is to quick and Mousasi doesnt have the strength to get him there. I see an awesome stand up bout.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Isreal Adesanya by Unanimous Decision
ISRAEL ADESANYA (20-1)
UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION
Adesanya only recently suffered his first defeat in the sport and that came to the current Light Heavyweight champion. He’s defeated all comers in the middleweight division w/ the utmost style and flare each time. He’s 20-0 in his division.
WELTERWEIGHT:
KAMARU USMAN (19-1)
UFC WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION
Usman is undefeated in his UFC career w/ wins over the top guys in the division. Two times he beat Jorge Masvidal, he finished Colby Covington and Gilbert Burns. Damian Maia, Tyrone Woodley and others have fallen victim to the Nigerian Nightmare.
Usman has been on an absolute other worldly run in the UFC in the last few years and though Lima is a suitable opponent I just don’t see the outcome much different than any other Kamaru bouts Recently.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Kamaru Usman By Submission in Rd. 2
DOUGLAS LIMA 32-8
BELLATOR WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION
Lima is a 3 time Bellator Welterweight champion w/ wins over Rory MacDonald, Michael Page and more. His most recent outing was a loss at the hands of Gegard Mousasi in the middleweight division as he attempted to become a two division champion.
LIGHTWEIGHT:
KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV (29-0)
RETIRED UFC LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION
Khabib is retired but as we don’t have a representative for UFC in this division it defaults to him. His most recent wins are his most impressive w/ Finishes over Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje before he announced his retirement.
I honestly think this could be one of the best bouts in MMA history, certainly in lightweight history. Pitbull would likely give Khabib his toughest test to date, even though Khabib has been improving every single time out, with that said I don’t see Freire having the tools to finish Khabib and the UFC Champions pressure would likely be the difference.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Khabib Nurmagomedov By Unanimous Decision
PATRICIO FREIRE (PITBULL) (32-4)
BELLATOR LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION
Pitbull has never been finished in his career (save for a injury TKO loss to Benson Henderson). He’s beaten top names including a KO of current UFC Title challenger Michael Chandler as well as most recently his second win over Emmanuel Sanchez.
FEATHERWEIGHT:
ALEXANDER VOLKANOVSKI (22-1)
UFC FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION
Alex has amassed a pretty incredible record and win streak that seems to have gone under the rader. He’s defeated Jose Aldo and Max Holloway 2 times to earn his title and then to defend it for the first time. He’s on a 20 fight win streak as well.
This would be a different bout than Patricio’s w/ Khabib as I see this one carrying out largely on the feet as the two men’s wrestling cancels each other out. I’ve gone back and forth and back and forth on this one so many times that I simply cannot come up w/ a winner.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Alexander Volkanovski & Patricio Freire Fight to a Draw
PATRICIO FREIRE (32-4)
BELLATOR FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION
Pitbull has never been finished in his career (save for a injury TKO loss to Benson Henderson). He’s beaten top names including a KO of current UFC Title challenger Michael Chandler as well as most recently his second win over Emmanuel Sanchez.

BANTAMWEIGHT:
ALJAMAIN STERLING (20-3)
UFC BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION
Sterling has been on a hot streak as of late w/ wins over top names. He won the title in very controversial fashion by winning a DQ after illegal knee. Most had him losing the decision up until that point, however based on the rules he is the champ.
this was another tough call as both men are so equal in many facets of the game. Standup and ground game are both something I think the other could handle w/ their opponent rather well.
OFFICIAL PREDICTION: Juan Archuleta By Split Decision
JUAN ARCHULETA (25-2)
BELLATOR BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION
Ironically Juan’s most notable bout recently is going 5 rounds w/ the Pitbull Patricio Freire, although he lost he did show some serious talent and proved he belongs w/ the upper echelon of the division. Anyone not names pitbull have fallen to Archuleta as of late.
