KAMARU USMAN
The Current Welterweight champ and pound for pound number 1 fighter in the UFC is 2-0 in 2021 w/ both coming by way of stoppages. He used a Jab to TKO Gilbert Burns in the beginning of the year and most recently defeated Jorge Masvidal by Vicious KO. It marks the second time in less than 12 months that he was victorious over Masvidal.
FEMALE FIGHTER OF THE MIDYEAR:
ROSE NAMAJUNAS
Rose became the first female fighter to ever regain a championship in any division. She took back her Straw weight championship w/ a KO of the year contender against the previously unbeaten (in the UFC) Zhang Weili. Rose now sits atop the thrown as the only 2 time woman’s straw weight champion and put in the performance of a lifetime.
